This beautiful weathered slate trivet has been hand crafted from vintage roofing slate recovered from the New Orleans French Quarter. The slate is thick and each piece weighs about 5 lbs. After a thorough cleaning and sanding, the tile is sealed with three coats of clear satin finished masonry sealer.
